Fatoumatta Sandeng (photographed in a safe house in Senegal), daughter of political activist and UDP (United Democratic Party) leader, Solo Sandeng, was killed whilst in detention, on April 14th 2016, shortly after he was arrested by Gambian state security agents whilst leading a peaceful protest for political reform.
